One Month as Little Hummingbird Studio

I can hardly believe it, but it's officially been a month since I launched as Little Hummingbird Studio, and what a month it's been!

When I made the leap into the new name and branding, I'll admit I was nervous. Would people recognise the new look? Would the name land the way I hoped? A month (and four markets) later, I have my answer: yes, and then some.

The Markets

Since launch day, I've had the joy of setting up the Little Hummingbird stall at four brilliant markets and I've now completed one in each of these towns:

  • Cheltenham Craft Market, my very first outing under the new name. Nerves aside, the sun was shining, the stall came together beautifully, and the resin artwork, wooden coasters, and resin wave coasters were the stars of the day. The feedback on the name and new layout was so warm, it settled every last nerve.

  • Witney Craft Market, set against a dinosaur trail through town and the hanging umbrella art in Marriotts Walk, this one had a real sense of occasion. My custom sycamore resin seascape, complete with footprints across the sand, took pride of place on the stall.

  • The Suffolks Market, a gorgeous spot to bring the brand to a new crowd and a lovely reminder of how much this little corner of the Cotswolds has to offer.

  • Cirencester Craft Market, rounding out the town tour in style and proof that this new chapter has real momentum behind it.

Four towns, four markets, one very proud (and slightly tired!) maker.

Branding, Finished? (it’s never finished!)

Alongside the markets, I've been busy behind the scenes finishing off the product branding I'd been dreaming up since the rebrand. Every piece now leaves the studio with either a paper belly band or one of the laser-cut wooden tags I made in the workshop, whichever suits the piece best, so everything feels considered and unmistakably Little Hummingbird, right down to the last detail.

The finishing touch: I now have stickers! They're going on everything, wrapping up purchases at the stall and branding the bags customers carry their finds home in. It's a small thing but it makes the whole experience feel that bit more polished and customers have already started commenting on them.

Onwards to Christmas

One month in, four towns down, and the branding finally feeling complete, I couldn't have asked for a stronger start. Now it's time to turn my attention to the big one: getting stocked up and ready for the Christmas market season. It's going to be wonderfully chaotic, and I can't wait.

Thank you to everyone who's stopped by the stall, said hello, and welcomed Little Hummingbird Studio with such open arms. Here's to the next month, and to Christmas market madness.
