1. General Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with Little Hummingbird Studio ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to the terms below.

Bespoke & Personalised Items

For bespoke or personalised products, once your order has been received we are unable to offer a refund, as these items are made to order specifically for you. This does not affect your rights if an item arrives faulty or damaged (see "Faulty or Damaged Items" below).

You are responsible for checking the spelling, grammar, and details of any personalised item at the time of ordering. The information you provide will be used exactly as submitted. We are not responsible for errors arising from incorrect information you have provided, though we're always happy to help if you spot a mistake before your order is dispatched. Please contact us as soon as possible.

Production & Turnaround Times

Turnaround time varies depending on the order:

  • In-stock items: posted within 1-14 working days

  • Made-to-order items (requiring materials to be sourced and handcrafted): typically 2–3 weeks

  • Busy periods (e.g. run-up to Christmas): turnaround can extend to 4–5 weeks

As every item is hand-finished by one person, we appreciate your patience, particularly during busier periods.

Payment

Full payment, including postage, must be received before an order is dispatched.

2. Shipping Policy

  • A confirmation email is sent once your item has been dispatched.

  • Orders are typically shipped via Royal Mail (Second Class), with tracked or signed options available on request for an additional fee.

  • Once an order has been dispatched, it is out of our direct control. Proof of postage can be provided on request.

  • Standard delivery typically takes 1–5 working days from dispatch, though this can be affected by weekends, public holidays, or delays within the Royal Mail network.

  • If you're not available to receive your parcel, a card will usually be left with collection instructions. Royal Mail generally holds uncollected parcels for around 3 weeks before returning them to us.

  • It is your responsibility to arrange collection or redelivery within this window. If a parcel is returned to us as uncollected, a re-delivery charge will apply before it is resent.

  • Please ensure your delivery address and contact details are correct at checkout. We are not responsible for orders sent to an incorrectly provided address.

Packaging

We use recycled and/or biodegradable packaging wherever possible, and we're always looking for ways to improve our environmental impact. While great care is taken in packaging every order, breakages can occasionally occur in transit. See below for what to do if this happens.

3. Returns, Cancellations & Faulty Items

Your Right to Cancel (Standard Items)

If you are a consumer ordering from within the UK, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To do this, please contact us within 14 days of delivery, then return the item to us within a further 14 days, in its original, unused condition. Once we receive the returned item, we will process your refund within 14 days.

Return postage costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty.

This right to cancel does not apply to bespoke or personalised items, which are made specifically to your order and are exempt under the Regulations, except where the item is faulty or damaged.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described (including personalised items) please contact us within 5 days of delivery with a description and photo of the issue. Depending on the situation, we will offer a repair, replacement, or refund in line with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Exchanges

We're not able to offer direct exchanges, but you're welcome to return an eligible item under the cancellation right above and place a new order.
