A sunny day at Witney craft market
What a lovely day it's been at Witney Market, our second outing as Little Hummingbird Studio, and honestly, it couldn't have gone better!
The sun was out in full force, which always makes such a difference to market day. Witney was also home to a dinosaur trail today, which brought families out. Little ones stomping about hunting for dinosaurs while their parents browsed the stalls made for such a fun, lively atmosphere. It's always a joy setting up on a day when there's something extra going on for the kids.
One of my favourite little details in Witney is the hanging umbrella artwork in Marriotts Walk. Colourful umbrellas suspended overhead, catching the light and adding such a cheerful, whimsical touch to the walk through. It's a small thing, but it really elevated the whole market experience and I remembered to take a photo today.
On the stall, I was especially proud to pass over a custom sycamore resin seascape with footprints to a lovely customer. A piece I’ve been working on for a few weeks in between the super hot summer days which put a pause on resin pours. It's exactly the kind of piece I love making: a little bit unexpected, a little bit different from what else is out there.
Thank You
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and supported the little hummingbird studio today. Whether you picked up a piece, had a chat, or just admired the stall. It genuinely means the world. Running this business has been such a journey and days like today remind me why I love it.
What's Next
Next week is going to be a busy one! I'll be head-down getting stock ready for the upcoming Christmas markets. Lots of making, lots of resin pouring, and hopefully some new pieces to share along the way. Watch this space!
Thank you again Witney. See you next time!
